The World Materials Perspectives which takes place at Nancy in France to take place between 30 and 31 March will look at how materials can meet the challenges of global warming, resources shortage, geopolitical tensions and energy challenges are no longer a debate.
Materials are a key factor for meeting the need for making energy savings and reduction of carbon dioxide emissions in transportation, housing and industrial use and improving primary energy production, transformation and transport. The conference organisers say that innovative, highly efficient, cost effective materials will be needed to meet the requirements of severe environments and sustainable development. A large spectrum of opportunities opens up for research and industry.
