30/11/10 – Exhibition for Machine Tools and Die Moulds in Shanghai
30 November 2010
The next China International Exhibition of the Die & Mould, Metal Processing and Forming Industry (DMC 2011), will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from June 2-5 2011.
The 24-year-old industry specific exhibition is organised by the China Die and Mould Industry Association and Shanghai International Exhibition Co. Ltd. and plays a major role in helping enterprises with technology exchanges, economic cooperation, equipment procurement, market development and expansion of trade.
China’s die and mould industry has maintained its growth momentum despite the global financial crisis. Exports of China-made dies and moulds amounted to $1.9 billion in both 2008 and 2009, while the country’s imports in this area were above $2 billion for four successive years until 2009, when demand remained strong despite imports slipping to $1.964 billion.
Driven by domestic demand and the cost-efficiency advantage of Chinese dies and moulds in international sourcing, China’s die and mould industry is expected to grow considerably and consequently generate increasingly strong demand for advanced processing equipment, software, systems and cutting tools, according to the China Die and Mould Industry Association.
