15/8/10 – The Composites Engineering Show focuses on design and manufacturing
17 August 2010
Aimed at the UK, the Composites Engineering show being held at the NEC in Birmingham between 29th – 30th September is being touted as providing the 1st ‘UK-centric’ full scale Exhibition of suppliers & partners to the nation’s rapidly growing composite design & manufacturing industries PLUS an integrated ‘free to attend’ programme of technical & strategic presentations, in a centrally accessible venue allowing easy access from industry groups nationwide.
The Composites Engineering Show 2010 is trying to attract UK design & manufacturing industries either currently utilising composites capabilities or looking to find out more about the potential for applying into current & future product streams.
The exhibition organisers say the show has four key components. One is a UK suppliers exhibition featuring the following:
• Composites Raw Materials & Semi Finished products
• Composites Design, Analysis, Simulation & Processing Technologies
• Processors & Suppliers of Composite Parts, Components & Structures
• Equipment Suppliers (inc Machining, Tooling, Curing, Moulding, Finishing, Curing, Testing etc)
• Ancillary Service Suppliers (Training, Logistics, Business Support, Standards)
• Maintenance & Recycling.
An Open Technology Forum running for both exhibition days will have ‘technical sessions’ from leading industry media, technical bodies & technology providers including sponsored sessions from NetComposites. Industry briefings-hosted by CompositesUK on Day 1 (29th) provides an insight into business conditions & future landscape affecting the whole of the UK composites value chain for both existing players and new entrants. Finally there will be the opportunity for networking through a business-to business facility where on-site meetings up and down the supply chain can be set up.
