29/6/10 – Saint-Gobain and the NSG Group collaborate on a new manufacturing facility near Sao Paulo, Brazil

Saint-Gobain and NSG have announced their plans to construct a new flat glass manufacturing facility at Jacarei, close to Sao Paulo. The facility will be in production by the end of 2011.
The plant is expected to have an output of 900 tons of flat glass daily and will also include the installation of a magnetron line to produce coated glass.
The new glass plant will be an addition to the Jacarei site, which already consists of two float lines and one laminated glass line, boosting its production power by 60% and making it the largest glass complex on the American continent.
The manufactured glass will be used in the Brazilian construction industry.
The NSG Group is a manufacturer of glass and glazing produce for the building and automotive industries. Saint-Gobain also develop and provide products to the construction industry and produce, process and market glass products for construction, transport and solar power projects.
