5/6/10 – Sandvik Coromant and Precorp join forces to become a joint solution provider of composite machining

Sandvik Coromant and Precorp have reached a cooperation agreement to provide products using polycrystalline diamond (PCD) vein technology and carbide solutions as well as consultancy services to the composite industry.
The unique PCD vein technology incorporates a precision sintered slot of PCD onto the cutting edge of the tool, which improves both the efficiency and quality of the tool.
Diamond-based cutting tools have soared in popularity over recent years, especially in the aerospace sector and Sandvik Coromant continue to be industry leaders in meta-cutting tools. Their partnership with Precorp is designed to enhance their products and improve their services.
Sandvik Coromant is a global company with its main headquarters in Sweden and representatives in 130 countries. It now owns 49% of Precorp who are based in Utah and specialise in offering a range of custom Polycrystalline Diamond and Carbide tools.
