Increased interest from international exhibitors
AMB 2014: More international exhibitors already registered – Almost 60 percent of exhibition space booked out – Layout planning starting in July
The countdown for AMB 2014 is on and the number of places left is limited. Exhibitors from all over the world are thus submitting their registrations even earlier to make sure they secure a coveted stand space. AMB, the exhibition for metalworking, may only be taking place from 16 to 20 September 2014, yet almost 60 percent of the available space has already been booked up since May 2013. “What we have noticed this year is that a third of the registrations came from abroad and at an early stage too. This is further proof of the increasing international importance of AMB,” explain AMB Project Managers Gunnar Mey and Sengül Altuntas.
AMB is one of the top 5 trade fairs worldwide for machine and precision tools. In Europe, it is the leading trade fair every two years. This was certainly seen in the figures for AMB 2012 which was attended by 1,344 exhibitors, 27 percent of whom came from outside Germany, and more than 88,100 visitors. Key to this success is the AMB concept, among other things, which further explores the latest industry trends and developments. In 2014, the theme of “compounds” will come under the spotlight. Exhibitors involved in this market have the opportunity to effectively address trade visitors using the “Compound Expert” communications package.
Planning for AMB 2014 will start in July 2013, the official deadline for registrations is 30 June 2013. Organisers are expecting the entire trade fair grounds, in other words 105,200 square metres of space, to be completely booked out.
