Cyrus Jilla resigns as CEO of Element Six
Mr Phillipe Mellier, Chairman of Element Six and CEO of the De Beers Group, announced last week that Cyrus Jilla had resigned his position as CEO and member of the board of Element Six.
Cyrus Jilla joined Element Six in 2008, taking over from Mr Christian Hultner after Element Six had undergone a period of significant transformation:
Mr. Jonathan Oppenheimer, non-executive chairman praised Christian Hultner’s substantial contribution to Element Six, over his eight years of service. “During Christian Hultner’s tenure, he has led Element Six through a period of transformation, establishing the company as the undisputed market leader in supermaterials, outperforming all its peers, and creating a company with excellent long-term growth prospects.” and was responsible for major restructuring and transformation of the Element Six business (ref. Following Cyrus Jilla’s resignation, Mr Mellier commented that Cyrus “was tasked with instituting far reaching restructuring” and that “Element Six had undergone a major transformation” under Cyrus’ leadeship. He also commented that “Element Six has established a strong platform for a new phase of growth” and “now is a natural time for Cyrus to hand over leadership.”
A successor to Mr Jilla has not yet been appointed.
