Grindwell Norton to build new facility in Gurajat

Grindwell Norton Ltdis to build a new manufacturing plant in Gurujat for high performance refractories. The facility should be built by the end of 2011 on the 20 acre site. The company which has been in operation since 1967 in India is now majority-owned subsidiary of Saint Gobain in India.
There are six other plants operated by Grindwell Norton in India with around 11 sales offices. It has become the leading abrasives manufacturer in the country making bonded, coated, non-woven, superabrasives and thin wheels as well as silicon carbide. The investment in the new plant is around Rs54 crore.
