Job Losses at Element Six, Ireland
Element Six, a leading manufacturing of industrial diamond materials and equipment, has announced job losses at it’s Shannon plant. The company is owned by the De Beers group of companies.
Element Six has announced that 70 jobs are to go at their plant in Shannon, Co. Clare, Ireland. The job cuts are as a result of the decline in the gas and oil drilling sectors of the economy.
Element Six made an investment of €25 million in the Shannon plant in 2013 and recruited 40 engineers following the closure of it’s Swedish plant in 2014.
Element Six has operated in Shannon for over 50 years.
